Indianapolis Fashion Photography: Mad Men Vintage Photoshoot

Before I headed on my vacation-honeymoon to Florence, Italy, I shot a series of vintage fashions for Red Rose Vintage in Broadripple/Indianapolis, Indiana. The models: Erica T, Kimberleigh, and Kiersten, along with Make up Artists Kelly Oswalt of Red Carpet Reflection and Stacey R Mayo of The Makeup Company all traveled down to Columbus, Indiana to shoot at my home studio.

Everyone did such an amazing job on this series of Mad Men inspired photos. The models all posed impeccably with panache and the Makeup artists did a stunning job as usual. Both Kelly and Stacey even did the model’s hair.

What resulted was some vintage fashion photos that I adore. Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in this shoot. Can’t wait to work with everyone again!

A sub thought I always have is a shoot like this would work really well for senior photos as by having a theme or a story can make your senior photos so unique and creative. So, if you are in need of funky, creative, not your typical senior photos, contact me at stacy able photography.

A couple weeks ago I met with some of my favorite models and a new favorite fashion designer in Indianapolis to debut her spring 2010 collection. The collection has a very bo-ho goddess feel with colors such as wasabi and a salmon number. I can’t explain it as elegantly as Beth Bennett, the designer of B Troussaeu, but the spring collection just asked for movement. Columbus Indiana Photography::: The House with the Rock

A couple of weeks ago in the midst of photographing a deluge of June weddings, I shot a beautiful home in Columbus, Indiana. Their home is known for it’s huge rock outside and rightfully so! This rock is great for pick nicks, reading a book, and so many other things. The previous owner’s children assumed the rock would be going with them when they moved– it is that important! It was a wee bit sunny, but the grass glistened with the morning dew and I can not begin to describe how amazing their hydrangeas are! They gave me a bag full and I can not wait to get some roots to start my own hydrangea bushes. These flowers are the size of my head! Besides the flowers, their backyard is stunning! Their pool is a bright turquoise and long enough for you to get a good lap in. By taking photos of this stunning home, I gained an appreciation for the craftsmanship in this house and neighborhood.

Bloomington Indiana Photography::: Macey!

Sometimes you meet the most inspirational people, and that sometimes happened when I met with Macey last weekend for a shoot. She is an extremely determined person working her way towards competing in a fitness show and if that wasn’t enough she’s in school for law. Not only is she extremely fit, she’s super nice and a joy to photograph and be around.

For Macey’s website http://www.maceyleigh.net/ we worked up some fitness and model concepts to add some more photos to her portfolio. She chopped chicken, she jumped, and even bent into a yoga pose. We laughed almost during the entire session and chatted about fitness, working out, and healthy eating. I really can’t wait to work with this lady again as I know she’s got such a wonderful personality.
