Columbus Indiana Wedding: Kalen + Dan

Kalen and Dan wed this past weekend in Columbus, Indiana. Their ceremony was held at the First Church of the Nazarene and reception was at a nearby church. Their colors were purples and orange/reds (in the bouquets). This was my first full wedding of the year and it could not have gone more smoothly. Kalen was a stunning bride and wore a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown with a blusher veil (just like the royal wedding!). What made the day extra special was Kalen’s surprise for Dan. She had arranged special old military vehicles for their getaway car. Dan had NO idea and assumed it was some sort of mustang but he was beyond thrilled with the surprise.

Q & A with the Bride:

First Dance Song… We Will Dance by Stephen Curtis Chapman

Honeymoon location… St. Lucia in the Caribbean

Funniest moment of the day… This might have to be how shocked Daniel was about the trucks and then how one of his groomsmen, Jordan, was like a little kid on Christmas morning when he got to ride in the army trucks. He asked his wife why he didn’t get anything like that at their wedding! haha

Advice for planning brides… Its easier said than done, but don’t stress the small stuff… None of the guests will know if something doesn’t go exactly as planned. Also, make sure to step back and take everything in throughout the day. It goes by unbelievably quick, so make sure to enjoy everything that you have planned for so long.

Fav detail of the day... I think this would be just all of the decorations and flowers and how all the colors and everything came together… Oh, and our slideshow that Daniel and I put together of us growing up and then concluding with us as a couple.
