NYE Wedding at Greek Orthodox Cathedral & W City Center Chicago

New Years Eve Wedding at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral & W City Center Chicago Wedding

Bobby and I decided to get married on December 31, 2012 because New Years Eve is our favorite holiday!

We chose the W City Center because it is our favorite hotel to stay at; in addition, the grand ballroom is neutral colored which was my number one request. We also fell in love with the old and new world vibe that the hotel entails.

As far as decor, I knew I wanted an elegant and neutral color scheme. Being that it was New Years Eve, our colors consisted of silvers, blacks, and whites. Since I am an English major and enjoy reading, we decided to add stacks of books to each centerpiece. Not only did they add height, but they also added a personal touch. We also added antique clocks to each centerpiece to symbolize the changing of time and they all buzzed in unison during the transition into 2013. We are thrilled with our decision to have had a New Years Eve wedding which marks a new beginning for everyone!
