Justin and Alisha are huge animal lovers which I appreciate! They have several dogs and even a parrot. Also these two are super creative and created a picnic for their engagement session. We ended up photographing their session on my Columbus, Indiana property as it had that Brown County Indiana feel they were looking for. Not to mention having a super long lighter for the candles handy was a huge help. Their props were so adorable and very in line with their upcoming wedding at Deer Park Manor in Bloomington, Indiana. They had old soda bottles, gray straws (their wedding colors are the uber hip gray/yellow), yellow glass bottles which will adorn their reception, some funky vintage fabric, and their fun save the date cards. I can’t forget Chloe the beautiful weinheimer who made an appearance as well.
Where did you two meet? We met in Bloomington, IN. at the Walnut Street Tap. We both went to see a friend play. Shortly there after we ended up running into each other again and hit it off.
The proposal story? Justin took me out on one of our weekend warrior trips, and at one of our stops there was a tree house – we climbed to the very top, and after peering over the vast scenery he dropped down on bended knee and asked me to be his wife.
Wedding Theme? We went with the mod lemon yellow and grey theme. Going for the fun, laid back type of wedding! [their wedding will be at Deer Park Manor in Bloomington, Indiana this summer!]
Funniest moment during the engagement session? After shooting the picnic scene, we moved to another shot and realized we had left the food out. On approaching the scene one of Stacy’s dogs was about ready to burst at the seams with excitement, we thought for sure the pup had a picnic of its own! But the pup never touched a thing lol
Justin likes the vintage look so we put our thinking caps on, went on a fun search and destroy mission and found some fun props!!
