Seymour + Columbus Indiana E-Session: Stacy + Bobby

It finally feels like spring and what a way to start off with a great e-session featuring Stacy + Bobby!

These two are one of those couples who radiate with love for each other. Starting with a joke by Bobby at his expense this session kept everyone laughing. Besides smiling until my cheeks hurt, they turned on the style as Stacy tip toed on her gorgeous high heeled Louboutin’s and her posh green dress. Bobby matched with his stylish argyle sweater and donned a tie later on.

Prior to our session, Stacy sent me some ideas. I knew Seymour, Indiana would have all the perfect backdrops for those ideas. From a old train station, to a fish shack, and eventually to a parking lot, I didn’t want to stop photographing these two! They pulled off all the poses with panache and a smile.

The construction guy asked to be in the photo so we arranged that I’m still laughing over here!

Stacy is radiant in her green dress!! And the fish stand? Just fun!

I’m going back to that wall in the spring to see what blooms but I love those winter vines and old brick peeping through, too

They are just gorgeous and so fun for me to photograph!

I believe one of those steeples is where these two love birds will get wed in September!

Thank you two for bearing with me to wait for that golden light… I think the results are stunning!

Love is in the Snow- Chad + Cheryl’s Indianapolis E-Session

My Valentine’s day engagement session with Chad and Cheryl in Indianapolis was featured on the fabulous new wedding blog: Kool Weddings!

When I first spotted their blog I was blown away with it’s modern elegant features. Their ability to post chic wedding ideas and of course featuring me has made them all the more awesome! Can’t wait to see what they post next!

Chad + Cheryl’s E-Session in the Indianapolis Snow

Cheryl, Chad, and I met up in Indianapolis on Valentines day to shoot their engagement session. As you all know we’ve had heaps of snow but that didn’t deter Cheryl from sporting the cutest open toe red mary jane heals and a slew of other cute fashionable threads. Cheryl and Chad are amazing personal trainers at Fitness by Design in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’d highly suggest if you are in need of buffing up schedule a session with either of them.

We kicked off their engagement session in a park just north of Indy which had plenty of soft, white, cold powdery snow. The afternoon light glittered through the trees and wrapped beautifully around Cheryl and Chad. A vintage sled, old ice skates, goofy winter hat, and valentines day hearts all complimented this session. Both Cheryl and Chad were so much fun to photograph as they really got into pushing and pulling each other on the old sled. Also, Chad was the perfect gentlemen lifting his lovely lady over the snow walls to take photos on a wooden bench surrounded by chilly snowy nature.

Antique Baby Photography Session in Seymour Indiana

It was super bowl Sunday but my passion and life lies in taking photos so I scheduled a baby photography session in Seymour, Indiana. The snow from the day before provided wonderful natural light through the windows allowing me to use my 85mm 1.4 to capture the soft joy of baby Aubrey.

This adorable redheaded girl was a true joy to photograph. Her eyes lit up and toothless mouth smiled and laughed at her parents who stood behind me making silly faces. I brought some vintage props (antique Easter dress, chair, rollie, etc) and we went along with ‘bre’s mood. She didn’t shed a tear, although we did get some of those baby confused looks as if she was thinking “really you want me to sit in a basket and smile?”

I can not wait until her 1st birthday as I’m already thinking of the fun this baby will have in having her first cake.

Cupcake and City Lights for an Indianapolis Child Photography Session

Little Ms. Em is quite the adorable character, so a standard boring child photography session wouldn’t cut it for her. We put our creative hats on and decided to come up with a theme and story to make her session in Indianapolis ultra unique.

We started at a vintage cupcake shop in Indianapolis and Em turned on the charm. Her adorable big blue-green eyes sparkled next to those scrumptious cupcakes. After shooting next to those sugery confections, welet the girl finally divulge then headed onward to the Circle in Indianapolis.

She held out in the frosty cold laughing, smiling, and being a great subject. The buildings lights shimmered behind her creating a truly gorgeous backdrop.

Some details add to the story and feel of the shoot.. I love to do this for weddings and portrait sessions..

More details. Added some texture to the photo on the right.. not sure if I like this or not. What do you think?
