What a wonderful year 2011 was for Stacy Able Photography. From a intimate family wedding of my 7th grade best friend in North Carolina, to various locations throughout the Midwest, I captured over 25 special weddings. Also not to be forgotten were the 60 + family/portrait/senior/boudoir sessions, 5 styled wedding inspiration shoots, and 2 commercial food photography jobs. I’m so grateful to each and every one of my clients for trusting me to document those special moments.
To keep things fresh as well as shoot some for myself, I used some medium format 120/220 film at 2011 weddings and a few portrait sessions. Now, in the winter time when I have time to reflect, recharge, and reinvigorate, I’m astonished with the results.
To highlight my 2011, year, I’d like to share a few of my favorites from my 2011 film works. There are 100s more photos I would want to display, but these few frames that capture what I feel is my photography style– Clean, classic, yet unforgettable imagery.

Sarah - Wonderful eye and fabulous light! I moved to Columbus from California (via Bloomington) and was just checking out the local photographers (photographers’ styles and their galleries say a lot about a place) and was pleasantly surprised to find your work! Your work reminds me of so many California wedding photos I love (yes, Jose Villa!) and is infused with a bright, fresh, organic feel that you don’t see in a lot of other photography out here. Looking forward to more of your work!
Jenny - What a fun recap! You have some very lucky clients to have you as their photographer!!
Kim Hill - These are wonderful. Such a nice variety. Absolutely LOVED the shot with the car and the peach colored cake.
