Q&A with Bride to be Elaina:
Where did you two meet? Bobby and I met when he was in eighth grade and I was in seventh. He was and still is best friends with my brother, Evan; in addition, Bobby’s older sister, Lindsey, and my older brother, George, were also good friends. Considering the fact that we are all so close in age, we all shared each other’s friends, including Bobby’s younger brother, Donny. Growing up, our house was the party house where all the kids would meet almost every day after school. My mom always had a home cooked meal and both my parents always welcomed all of our friends as their own.
How did Bobby Propose? I am not too fond of surprises and I thought it was difficult to surprise me, but Bobby did pull off a wonderful surprise when he proposed on December 23, 2011. Bobby told me that we were going to meet his friend Ryan since we hadn’t seen him in a while due to his crazy work hours since he is a firefighter. On our drive down to the city, Bobby reserved a hotel room which I was unaware was already booked. We went to the hotel room and waited for Ryan to call us. While waiting, Bobby and I went out to dinner and then returned back to the hotel room. When I opened the door, I saw champagne and chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite). I turned around in confusion, and there was Bobby holding the ring in his hand.
Who chose the ring? Since Bobby and I have been together for about seven and a half years, we had talked about wedding ring styles. He knew exactly what I liked and picked it out on his own without me being aware.
Favorite part of Engagement session? Our favorite part of the engagement session was laughing with you and Walter. You both made us feel comfortable and we had some funny one-liners. We will never forget when you joked to Bobby, “Smell her hair!” Or when I threw my shoes into the field and Walter looked at me like I was crazy. We are honored that you took our engagement photos and we are looking forward to you capturing our wedding day:-)
Wedding plans? Our wedding will take place at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the W Chicago City Center on New Years Eve 2012.
