Indiana Trash the Dress: Bride on a Horse

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

The day after Erin’s gorgeous wedding in Loogootee, Indiana she wanted to do a Trash the Dress session with one of her horses. She hoped on her horse with her gown from That Special Touch in Columbus, Indiana and rode around the Indiana fields. Some of the trees had already started to turn that golden fiery fall color which contrasted nicely with the horse and Erin.

Indianapolis Wedding Photography::: Patti + Rob

Friday, July 10th, 2009

The first time I met Patti was when my husband and I were buying her home and she told us Belle, a German short hair mix) would be coming with the house. After the initial shock, Belle has been a great friend as has Patti. At her wedding a few weeks ago in Indianapolis, I was thrilled to be her photographer. The wedding was at the grand Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and I believe that is where Patti and Rob met.

The church was magnificent. I don’t think my words will do it any justice, but I’ll try. The ceiling was a large wooden arc with beautiful cross beams and huge glass windows. The masonry of the stone arcs and the organ with it’s backdrop of a vast stain glass window were stunning.

Patti and Rob had so many friends and family there to share in their marriage celebration. Patti’s bridesmaid’s had on lovely floral cocktail gowns with personalized jewelry. Rob was in his Air Force formal wear and Patti in a elegant ivory gown. The two highlights for me were Patti’s necklace Rob got for her while serving overseas which was when he knew he wanted to marry her (awww!) and the adorable yet goofy ring bearer Porter. The reception followed in Carmel at The lovely Mansion at Oak Hill with gorgeous windows to give great light on this newly married couple.

From the colorful gerbera daisies to the smiles, laughs, and cupcakes, this wedding was not one to forget. I know Patti will be so happy and we will miss her here in Columbus.
