Alyssa and Adam are one of those gorgeous couples both inside and out. It was an honor for me to capture their day as these two’s love for each other was a beautiful thing to photograph. Their wedding ceremony and reception was at the Valle Vista golf course in Greenwood, Indiana. The weather was off and on all day in typical Indiana fashion, but some sprinkles didn’t deter everyone from having a great time. Photography wise, I was able to use some new flash techniques to create crazy unique photos that are darker then my typical sunset style but oh so fabulous in their edginess.

Q+A with the Bride:
Favorite moment of the day? The carriage ride right after the ceremony. It was an intimate first moment with my new husband and was just special for us to have that moment together before the reception.
First dance song? “Spoken For” by MercyMe
Honeymoon location? West Caribbean Cruise. We shipped out of San Juan, Puerto Rico and went to islands such as St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and St. Lucia.
Funniest moment of the day? When I hesitated on the “respect and obey” part of our vows. It was just a joke, but I knew Adam and everyone who really knew me would get a kick out of it.
Advice for planning brides? Keep things simple and try not to overly think the small details. I was so stressed the last couple of months, but everything was perfect at the wedding to me. Just know and trust that it all comes together. The night goes by extremely fast. Be extremely grateful for what you do have and just remember the purpose of it all- to marry the love of your life!
Favorite Detail(s)? It’s hard to choose my favorite detail of the wedding. I really liked our bridal party outfit choices with the purple dresses, white bouquets, and gray suits with purple shirts and ties for the groomsmen. I also loved the purple rose pedals that were spread over all the tables. Lastly, I think the horse and carriage was a surprising, nice touch.
