Madi + Jared’s August 2020 Barn at Willow Lake Event Center Summer Wedding
One of my favorite families had a wedding this summer! The stunning Madi married her high school sweetheart Jared! Despite all the craziness of 2020, these two had a beautiful ceremony at Jared and Madi’s church in the serene countryside of southern Indiana. Following their ceremony, they headed south to the Barn at Willow Lake Event Center. These two made SO much time for photos which we always appreciate. The newlyweds headed off to their honeymoon, but I couldn’t wait to post some favorites from their day!
A huge huge congrats to Madi and Jared! It has been such a joy watching you two grow together and become the kind, wonderful people and couple you are now.
QA from the Couple:
Wedding synopsis/overview of the day (how you chose the venue, decor, date, how the day went overall, etc)? From the moment we got engaged, I knew The Barn was going to be our reception venue. I followed Willow Lake Event Center on Facebook and saw they were building the new venue and fell in love. It was everything and more that we could’ve hoped for on our special day. Because The Barn had such beautiful chandeliers, I knew I wanted to be minimalistic with the decor. We knew we weren’t wanting longer than a year long engagement so picking the date closest to our engagement date was our plan. It just happened to work out the day after we got engaged, we chose both the venue and our special day, 08.22.2020. Overall the day was absolute perfection. We were surrounded by the ones we love most on the best day of our lives. Stress free and full of love.
I am also a very “classy” girl so white flowers and hints of gold were a must. I had a Pinterest board years before the engagement and constantly updated it. I mean we did date for 7 years so I knew it would happen eventually LOL
Anecdotes about your gown? I went to Marie Gabriel Couture for my gown as did my sister, Kasi. Her experience and their selection were amazing so I knew that is where I wanted to go. I tried on a total of 7 dresses, each a different style. Dress number 4 ended up being my dress and I knew it was the second I put it on. It was completely opposite of what I thought I would pick but it was 150% my perfect dress.
Favorite moment(s)? My favorite moments were putting my dress on and seeing myself as a bride, the first look, walking down the aisle and the Party Bus ride to the reception with our bridal party.
Funniest moment(s)? The funniest moment had to have been when Jared flung my garter straight up in the air.
