Biltwell Spring Wedding

Jenna + Andre Biltwell Indianapolis Spring Wedding

Jenna and Andre live in Colorado and have an adorable Corgi named Jack. Their celebrations in early May in Indianapolis, Jenna’s home town, were filled with family, friends, and a lot of love. The pair luckily did not have to postpone anything due to covid and had mother nature on their side, too. Walter and I were thrilled to start our 2021 summer wedding season with this great bunch. Congrats to the newlyweds! Thanks for making our jobs so fun!

Q+A with the couple:

Overview of your day?
We chose our church (Immaculate Heart of Mary) because that’s the church I grew up going to and the grade school (attached to it) I went to as well from 1st – 8th grade. I have always wanted to get married in the church I grew up in / went to as a little girl:) very special to me. We chose our venue (The Biltwell) because it had a beautiful, rustic feel to it with the exposed wood and brick and since we live in Denver, CO, it reminded us of the city / state where we first met and currently live.
What inspired your wedding style?

What inspired our wedding style was the season of our wedding (Springtime), all the greenery that Indianapolis has in May, and the light yet elegant colors of blush, champagne, light green, nude, etc. that we knew would accompany our floral choices and the venue style beautifully.

Anecdotes about your gown?

I absolutely LOVED and have always wanted those simple yet beautiful buttons going down the back of my dress. I also loved the lace, the delicate lace flowers and delicate material of the overall dress. It was so beautiful and fit me so well I was so excited to wear it. I also absolutely loved my veil that was a Cathedral style veil and had the matching lace flowers at the end. The corset that was sewed in was so necessary and I loved it so I didn’t have to wear a bra 🙂 🙂 🙂

Favorite moment(s)?
Andre’s favorite moment was seeing the doors open at the end of the aisle at the church at the ceremony and seeing me walk down the aisle in my dress for the first time  My favorite moment was when the doors opened at the church and I had my Dad tightly by my side walking down the aisle and seeing Andre for the first time. It was also so cool to see all of our family and friends being there to celebrate Andre and I’s marriage.

Both of our favorite moment was saying our vows and our “I Do’s” and kissing at the church with everyone cheering and celebrating us! We also of course LOVED every moment of the reception with our first dance, the speeches, the band and the dancing!

Funniest moment(s)?
1.) I attached a video that one of our guests sent us of our friends Lauren and Joe dancing to “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” (our final song of the night). Neither of them know each other and they are having the best time dancing and then all of a sudden….(you’ll have to watch the video to see the end 🙂 )
2.) When everyone lifted us up on the chairs to the song “Shout!” — that was SO much fun and so hilarious.

First Dance Songs?
Our first dance song was “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli.
Back in January, my parents were visiting us in Denver and we went out to Beaver Creek to go skiing with them. They asked us if we had picked out our first dance song yet and we hadn’t so Andre and I went down to the hot tub at the hotel and started listening to some love songs. The first song we played was “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli and we immediately loved it. We loved the tempo, the words, the beat, and the meaning behind the song (we don’t really like really, really slow songs or really slow Country love songs) so this song was perfect for us.
We went back upstairs and told my parents we had chosen our song and started playing it for them. Low and behold, they said “Wait a minute, this was our first dance song too!”
We knew it was fate. We told them we didn’t want to “steal their first dance song” and that we would choose another. So when the band started singing our first dance song, my parents were very surprised as they had no idea 🙂 It was an AWESOME moment!
