Brown County Fall Engagement Portraits with a dog named Boo

Make sure you look closely at Boo’s collar as that is how Tyler proposed to Kelsey! It was really a pleasure to meet and work with these two. They’re so lively, fun, and their laughter (even if it was awkward as let’s be honest posing for photos isn’t in everyone’s daily routine) made for some great portraits. Thank you two in letting me capture your engagement session!

Q+A with Kelsey and Tyler:

How did you two meet? We worked together.  I actually hosted Tyler for lunch during his “Sales Day” in Columbus when he was almost out of college and deciding where to work.  He started working in our department shortly after that, and we became friends.  After a little over a year, I moved roles into a different department, so we started hanging out more outside of work.  Needless to say, we clicked well and started dating.
How did he propose? I had told him in passing that there’s no way that I could ever agree to marry anyone unless I’d dated them for at least three years.  For me, that’s how long I need to really get to know a person and our long-term compatibility.  Exactly on our third anniversary, I came home to flowers and a very cute card.  Then he told me to hang on while he got “the next part of the gift”.  Boo came out of our living room with a different collar on, and so I asked about it.  He told me to check her tag.  There was a sticker on one side, and the other side had an engraving that said “Tyler’s a really great guy, you should keep him around for a while -Boo”.  I removed the sticker, and found “Will you marry me?” engraved on the other side of the tag.  He got down on one knee and proposed at that point.

Who chose the ring? He did, was a perfect choice!

Wedding/Party plans? Nothing set entirely in stone yet.  Small wedding, large party.  Counting on doing it in Cleveland, Ohio somewhere at this point.  Let’s just say that wedding planning is not a career path that I will ever pursue 🙂
