Caroline and Joe reconnected at a kickball game. They are such a fun, sweet, and creative couple. Their love for each other and their sweet pup Pablo has been a joy to photograph. I have had so much fun capturing the pair.
Their wedding day was nothing short of magical. The weather called for rain, but as we headed off after their ceremony for portraits, rays of sun peaked through. Caroline suggested we use a few color smoke bombs for portraits, and the resulting photos are nothing short of epic.
Thank you two for having me capture the beginning of your gorgeous love story! I hope to work with you all and family again sometime in the future!
Q+A with Bride Caroline:
Overview of the day? I knew before we got engaged that I wanted my reception to be at the Commons. Joe and I loved the natural light and high ceilings. We knew with the right decor, the Commons would transform into our dream reception site. Originally, we wanted to get married in June, but the Commons only had 1 date available, so we snagged it! July 21, 2018 it is! Once we had the date and the venue chosen, it was time to focus on our decor. We went with a light and airy vibe, focusing on shades of blush, gold, and neutrals. I would describe our theme as bohemian, chic, and romantic. We went with lots of greenery, blush roses, and ivory roses.
What inspired your wedding style? Our wedding style was inspired by my Pinterest boards! The minute we got engaged, I jumped onto Pinterest and pinned as many pictures that I thought represented our styles. The themes of the pictures ended up being bohemian, chic, and romantic.
My gown was Pronovias and was purchased at Marie Gabriel Couture. I wanted a dress that had an open back, so that’s what I fell in love with on my dress.
Favorite moment? My favorite moment was when I turned the corner, and saw Joe down the aisle for the first time. I’m not an overly emotional person, but the emotions definitely hit me at that moment. Everything and everyone blurred out for that time being, and all I saw was Joe, wiping tears away from his eyes. That’s a moment that will live forever in my memory.
