Alex + Scott’s downtown Chicago Engagement session at the Ambassador Hotel
I met up with Alex and Scott at the Ambassador Hotel on Labor day Monday for their engagement portraits. These two wanted an epic backdrop, and the rooftop at the Ambassador hotel did not disappoint. The view, and these two, were amazing to work with. We headed to the river walk then to the south loop to their favorite street. I can not wait to photograph these two next fall in Indianapolis!!
Bride + Groom to be Q+A
How did you two meet? We met in Florida on Bumble! Scott was visiting his mom who has a house there, and I was living in Florida at the time. We matched on Bumble and met up at a bar his first of 7 nights in town – and we hung out every day of those 7 days!
First date? We met up at Miller’s Ale House after matching on Bumble. Not romantic at all and the date almost didn’t lead to anything but we finally hit it off after 2-3 drinks!
How did he propose? He planned a day of “errands and lunch plans” to run in the city and we were going to take the Water Taxi on the river to get downtown. Once we were in the park to board the taxi, he decided to have us walk around the park where he got on one knee and popped the question! A photographer came out of nowhere and captured it all. After we went back to our home where our entire family was. It was truly the best day ever.
Wedding plans? The ceremony and reception will be at the Indianapolis Public Library on Sept 19, 2020. My family is from Indianapolis area, his family is from Cincinnati and we will be coming from Chicago. Huge wedding party of 16 and the wedding will be quite the party with over 100+ of our friends from college, work, etc.
