Ridley + Brandon’s Summer engagement portraits at Eagle Creek Park

We had the perfect summer evening at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis for Ridley and Brandon’s engagement session. We roamed around the lovely park (sometimes striking out on parking– thanks for being patient!) and the results with the setting sun– stunning! The couples two pups joined in for a few portraits, too. I can’t wait to work with the pair again in 2021 for their wedding at the gorgeous Tinker House!

Couple Q+A

How they met? Tinder. We bonded over our dogs who look like they could be sisters. (And now they are)
First date: Chilly Water Brewing Company. Still one of our favorite places.
Proposal: Brandon proposed on his birthday in January but had been planning since August. We have made a tradition of taking a ski/snowboard trip for his birthday every year. This year we decided to go to snowshoe mountain and make it a group trip with some of our closest friends. All in the name of celebrating Brandon’s birthday. I had found a great restaurant and made dinner reservations for the second night on the trip. Again, with the idea of celebrating his birthday. After an amazing day of skiing and snowboarding we all got ready to go out. On the walk to dinner Brandon said “hey let’s go check out the slopes to check the conditions for tomorrow.” I thought this was funny and not out of the ordinary for him to be excited for the next day of snowboarding. While our friends continued on the walk to dinner, we walked out to the slopes over looking the whole mountain.  He pointed up to the full moon and as I looked up he got down on one knee! I was completely surprised! He hadn’t told anyone on the trip except one of my friends who was able to snap a few covert pictures. So after I said yes! we finished our walk to the restaurant and got to surprise all of our friends. His birthday dinner turned into our engagement party and it was perfect.
Wedding plans: We are counting down the days until our Spring wedding at Tinker House Events.
