Elegant Pink and Black Tie Summer Patrick Haley Mansion Wedding
Classic, elegant, and heartfelt are some adjectives to describe Natalia and Aleks’ wedding day. They mixed Serbian and Polish traditions which were amazing to view and photograph. Natalia in her wedding gown… one word:stunning. Her gown was one of the most unique gowns I’ve seen. Of course, Alek was handsome in his black and white tux topped with his unique black and white shoes.
My assistant Katie and I started our days at two different locations, me with the Bride at the couple’s loft Chicago Apartment. Katie with the groom’s family which were already in full celebration mode with a singer, food, and tent. The bridal portraits of Natalia on her apartment roof are my new favorites. Then, the couple par took in their beautiful and traditional ceremony at the St George Serbian Orthodox Church. The reception at the Patrick Haley Mansion was full of laughs, singing, happy tears, dancing, bread breaking, and other traditions. Thank you Alek and Natalia for being a dream couple to work with!
Q&A with Natalia and Alek:
The day went far better than I thought it would. I got warned by earlier brides that something always goes wrong on your wedding day, no matter how much you plan. I can honestly say that everything went without a hitch and turned out better than I ever imagined. We are so blessed to have had such a beautiful wedding that we got to spend and share with family and friends!
I chose Patrick Haley mansion to be the venue because I knew I wanted a classic romance type of wedding. The beautiful ballroom at Patrick Haley mansion was just that. As soon as I picked the venue, I knew where to go with the rest of the planning.
My favorite moments of the wedding were walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Aleks’ reaction and dancing the night away!
Our first dance song was At Last by Etta James. I have always loved that song and knew that that would be our song one day. It’s elegant, classic, and simply beautiful.
