Fall is here which means it is a gorgeous time of year for engagement photos! Kendra and John decided they wanted to have fall portraits at Locally Grown Gardens (their food and pies are amazing!) as well as Holiday park. The afternoon could not have been more gorgeous! They brought their Vizsla/Lab/mix pup Gage who was so well behaved.
The pair will be getting married next June at a cool new venue, Tinker house. I am super excited to capture their celebrations there!
Kendra + John Q+A:
How did you two meet? We met through my best friend growing up, Danielle, she is a bridesmaid too. She and John were friends too but we never crossed paths until Danielle gave him my number(without my knowledge).
Your first date? It was January 2010…..I believe. He asked me to a Colts game.
How did he propose? Proposal was May 2017 in Amsterdam. It was our first big vacation, just the two of us. We had been there for 2 days and were just eating, drinking and wondering around the city having fun. We were staying in an Airbnb and he asked me there after we had been walking around all day. He had a whole plan but got stressed out. Haha doesn’t really matter cause we were having a great time and were on a awesome trip.
Wedding plans? I think the overall feel of our wedding is going to be modern industrial. Excited to just use the building as decor with all the windows, wood and brick. We will have more lights than flowers for ambiance. I’m hoping to have some farmhouse tables incorporated but not make it look like a barn wedding. My dress, I think, is a little non-traditional. It’s all lace, champagne/ivory color and blush lining, the blush is my favorite part. I wouldn’t say I’m very “girly” but I am wearing a veil, as of now.
