Alivia + Joe’s Laurel Hall Indianapolis Summer Engagement Session
Laurel hall was an elegant backdrop for Alivia and Joe’s Indianapolis summer engagement portraits. The couple loves architecture and Laurel hall is so charming. Friday morning, we lucked out with a bright summery morning. Not only did we have a great location and weather, this couple has has amazing style too. Alivia’s first dress by Monique Lhuillier was stunning. The two will be wed next October in Alivia’s home state of Pennsylvania. I wish these two all the best and am glad I was able to capture their engagement portraits in Indianapolis.
Bride + Groom Q+A
How did you two meet?
Joe and I met during my first week as an Indianapolis transplant working for Hulman Motorsports. Joe and I both work for INDYCAR and travel the NTT IndyCar Series circuit.
First Date?
Joe and I became friends after the completion of my first INDYCAR season. He introduced me to unique pockets of the city- visiting bars and restaurants in our free time to help me explore and make friends.
It wasn’t until later in our friendship that we started officially dating. I’d say our first official ‘date’ was a trip to Chicago.
Proposal?
We’ve been fortunate to explore the country together through work at INDYCAR. In the off-seasons we’ve visited Rome, Capri, Paris, Cannes, Monaco, and small cities in between. Our proposal was intimate in our Carmel home during an off-weekend of travel. Perfect for our hectic travel lives.
Wedding Plans?
The date is set! We’re getting married in Scranton, Pennsylvania in October of 2020 at the Scranton Cultural Center. The style of this architectural treasure will bring our European travel and passion together with it’s 1920’s-1930’s Gothic features. The Scranton Cultural Center is nestled in the heart of Scranton- just minutes away from my hometown.
