Christine + Daniel’s Newfields Spring Engagement Session
We had to reschedule Christine and Daniel’s engagement session due to rain. Luckily we hit a sunny jackpot on the second try. I had a blast getting to know this couple more while capturing their Newfields engagement session. They are fellow foodies, too. I am super excited to be working with them next April at their Tinker House Indianapolis wedding!
Bride to be Q+A:
How did you two meet? We first met through a mutual friend in 2015 but didn’t reconnect until a New Year’s Eve party one year later. We bonded over our shared inability to play poker.
First Date? Our first date was at Union 50 in Indianapolis. Our friend said at the time that Daniel must have been confident the date would go well to commit to the drive from Columbus! After dinner, we went to Libertine and talked until after midnight – another sign of something special as we both are definitely not night owls.
How did he propose? Daniel planned the perfect surprise proposal. We had lunch at Ukiyo followed by a visit to one of our favorite places, Newfields. He proposed on the veranda of the Lily House, complete with our favorite champagne to celebrate. Our family met us for dinner at our first date location, Union 50, to continue the celebration. The entire day was romantic, sweet, and incredibly thoughtful.
Wedding plans? We are getting married next spring at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the reception at Tinker House Events. We’re having fun with wedding planning and have an amazing team of vendors. We’re really enjoying this time and can’t wait until our wedding day!
