Rachel + Lee’s Summer Washington DC Engagement Portraits

Rachel and Lee are getting married this fall at Irwin Gardens which is one of my all time favorite wedding venues. The lovely couple reside in Washington DC which is also one of my all time favorites cities. We met near the monuments and strolled around the city for their engagement city.  It was so nice to get to know this sweet couple and hear more about how the two met in Connecticut, their adventures in DC, as well as their fall Columbus, Indiana wedding plans. Rachel even gave me a mini history lesson which was pretty awesome. It was only 49 years ago that the Supreme Court overturned laws which prohibited interracial marriage. We celebrated by taking some of their engagement portraits on the Supreme Court steps. I can’t wait to capture your celebrations this fall!
