Lindsey + Jonathan’s Sycamore at Mallow Run Winery wedding

I met Lindsey years ago at her friend Sarah’s wedding and was super excited when she reached out for her wedding! Lindsey and Jonathan braved a blizzard for their winter engagement session so a little overcast drizzle on their wedding day did not phase them. They braved the rain for some gorgeous vineyard portraits (thank you!!!). Their venue, the gorgeous Sycamore at Mallow Run Winery venue, is stunning. Since the two love wine, it was the perfect venue. They even honeymooned in Wine Country in California. This sweet couple and their families were so easy going throughout the day. I only wish we had a sunset for the couple, but that is Indiana weather. Here are several favorites from their day!! Enjoy!

Bride + Groom Q+A:

Overview/how the day went? Mallow Run Winery holds a special place in our hearts. Over the years we have spent many summer days there, gathering with family and friends, picnicking, drinking wine, and listening to the live music they put on. Their cork and canvas classes have also been fun date nights for us in the winter. We knew we wanted to get married in a place that has been a part of our journey and means something to us, so the Sycamore at Mallow Run was an easy choice!

Growing up in Indiana, fall has always been my favorite time of year. The cool crisp mornings, changing color of the leaves, pumpkin patches, and fall flavors are something I always look forward to every year. October 7th is also my birthday (I turned the big 3-0 this year) so we decided why not get married on the 6th and have a post-wedding/birthday brunch on the 7th.

More than anything, we wanted our wedding day to be a celebration. A day filled with laughter, fun, and love with our closest family and friends. Looking back, that’s exactly what we feel it was, and what we feel the photos you took of us captured. So to us, it was perfect.

We knew we wanted a fall Indiana wedding that was rustic yet elegant. Soft and romantic. With a wedding at a winery in fall, burgundy was a clear choice for the main color. From there, Pinterest, Instagram, and our amazing team of vendors inspired the rest.

Your gown? I found my dress at my very first appointment. Alyssa, the amazing team member at Sophia’s helping me, picked it out for me. It was the very last dress I tried on and immediately I knew it was the one. It was soft, elegant, romantic, everything I was looking for. The dress is “Rosabelle” by Martin Thornburg. Growing up, I always wanted to be Belle, the Disney princess, and wear that amazing gold dress. Wearing an amazing wedding dress called Rosabelle, I feel like in some ways my childhood dream came true.

Our first look, our personal vows to each other, and my dance with my father. My father was in a walking boot for several years due to issues with his foot and just got out of it a few months before the wedding. It was so special to be able to have that dance, especially to a song that he has sung to me since I was a little girl.

Funniest moment(s)? Our bridal party’s reactions to the fun facts we had Jared share about them during their introductions. Oh, and the best man ending his toast with “And…drink.”

First Dance Songs? Bride/Groom: Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce. Bride/Father: My Girl by The Temptations. Groom/Mother: Forever Young by Rod Stewart.
