Bride and Groom Q+A:
Wedding synopsis/overview of the day:
On May 12, on a beautiful, warm day in Indiana, Nick and I said our “I do’s” at the Historic Ambassador House & Heritage Gardens surrounded by our closest friends and family. It was the very best day of our lives, filled with laughter and love — a perfect beginning to our story as husband and wife.
What inspired your wedding style?
Our venue set the tone for the style of the wedding — Ambassador House’s beautiful gardens framed a soft, classically romantic wedding. We chose a neutral color palette of ivory and blush to complement the natural elements of the location.
Anecdotes about your gown?
I hunted for months for the perfect wedding dress, and eventually fell in love with an Enzoani gown in a small boutique in Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia. I could feel it was the one as soon as I tried it on. My mom flew out to D.C. several weeks later to celebrate and officially “say yes to the dress.”
Favorite moment(s)?
We have so many beautiful memories from that day — but seeing each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle was one I don’t think we’ll ever forget.
Stacy captured the day so perfectly — and each photo radiates the excitement and joy we felt. She captured the sweetest details and special moments — ones we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
